From 13 to 17 April 2026, senior auditors from nine Pacific nations gathered in Apia to enhance the quality of financial audits across theregion.
The Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI)delivered a five-day, face-to-face training workshop, bringing together 23senior staff (17 women and 6 men) from the Cook Islands, Fiji, Nauru, Papua NewGuinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
The Samoa Audit Office was proud to have its senior auditors participate. Led by PASAI Program Director Susana Laulu, alongside senior staff from the Office of the Auditor-General of New Zealand, the workshop focused on strengthening audit planning, risk assessment, and reporting practices.
By the end of the week, participants gained sharper technical skills, increased confidence, and made tangible improvements to their audit working papers.
