Audit of Information Technology is the examination and evaluation of a Ministry or Corporations technology infrastructure, policies and operations. It determines whether IT controls protect the Ministry or Corporations assets, ensure integrity of data and align with their overall goals.

Information Technology Audit

Oceanbaby Penitito joined the Samoa Audit Office in 2008 and was appointed to Director of the Performance and Environmental Division in January 2019. Ms. Penitito was previously with the ITA Division before moving to the PEA Division initially as an Audit Manager, before she was promoted to be the Division's Director. She is also a Chartered Accountant with the Samoa Institute of Accountants, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Ivan Tone joined the Samoa Audit Office in 2013. He was previously with the MPPA, PBA, and SAI Divisions. Mr. Tone is currently studying to be a Chartered Accountant with the Samoa Institute of Accountants and is pursuing his Masters Degree in Auditing at Nanjing Audit University, China.

Information Technology Audit

Menime Phillip joined the Samoa Audit Office in 2018 as an intern. She was hired as the Legal Analyst for the Legal and Compliance Division in August 2019 and is currently serving as a Principal Auditor for the ITA Division, a position she has held since 2023.

Aute Asolelei joined the Samoa Audit Office in 2018 as an audit examiner for the Legal and Compliance Unit. She was later promoted to an auditor position in the MPPA division and has been serving as a Senior Auditor in the IT Audits Division since 2023
