The PASAI Sub-Regional Meeting Polynesia, hosted by the Samoa Audit Office concluded this week, brought together heads of SAIs from Samoa, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, Tonga, American Samoa, and New Zealand. Over two days, the meeting aimed to enhance audit standards and promote collaboration between the SAIs of the Polynesian sub-region.

The meeting began with a ceremonial Ava o le Feiloaiga, reflecting Samoa’s cultural heritage. Presentations by SAIs highlighted their initiatives and strategic priorities, with intensive media training sessions.

The second day included presentations on defining SAIs’ role in sustainable audit practices and sharing best practices. Discussions concluded with a summary of outcomes and key matters for future forums.

The meeting underscored PASAI and the Polynesian sub-regional SAIs’ commitment to audit excellence and accountability. We sincerely thank PASAI and the Secretary General, the Auditor-General of New Zealand John Ryan, for this significant gathering.
