The five-day PASAI workshop started yesterday, Monday 15 June 2026, helping Pacific audit offices prepare annual operational plans that deliver high-quality, impactful audits. Twenty-one senior staff from ten Pacific SAIs are attending, with the Samoa Audit Office represented by the Controller & Auditor General and senior management. Facilitated by PASAI's CEO and Program Director, the workshop focuses on creating operational plans with clear activities, timetables, and responsibilities. "Strong governance and robust operational plans are fundamental to SAIs delivering work that matters to their stakeholders," said PASAI's Program Director. Participating SAIs will implement their new plans by June 2027. The Samoa Audit Office thanks PASAI for this opportunity and acknowledges the support of New Zealand MFAT and Australian DFAT.
