The Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) held a regional workshop from 23-27 March in Nadi, Fiji, aimed at enhancing auditors' ability to assess how governments across the Pacific are addressing skilled worker shortages.

The five-day, in-person training was attended by sixteen auditors from across the region, including representatives from the Federated States of Micronesia (Kosrae and Yap), Fiji, Guam, New Caledonia, Palau, Samoa, and Vanuatu.

The programme was led by PASAI Programme Director Meegan Reinhard, alongside senior staff from the New Zealand Office of the Auditor-General, building on earlier online modules completed through the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), which supports Supreme Audit Institutions globally in conducting impactful audits aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Samoa Audit Office is pleased to have been represented by Torise Luagia Panapa at this important regional initiative, supporting ongoing efforts to enhance audit quality and promote accountability and sustainable development outcomes across the Pacific.
