Audit Manager Ms. Velmar Levasa represented the Samoa Audit Office at the JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Programme in Japan, focused on the Government Audit on Construction Works. Held from 14 June to 4 July 2026, this intensive three-week training was designed to enhance Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) capabilities in auditing public infrastructure projects.

The programme provided invaluable exposure to international best practices, drawing on the expertise of SAI Japan, renowned for its rigorous standards in safeguarding public safety through resilient and sustainable infrastructure.

Ms. Levasa's participation has contributed to the Samoa Audit Office's ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight of public works. We extend our sincere appreciation to JICA and SAI Japan for this transformative opportunity and for their unwavering technical and administrative support.
