Climate Infrastructure, Integrity, and Resilience in Tokyo

Assistant Controller and Auditor General Faamatuainu Dennis Margraff represented the Samoa Audit Office at the ADB/ADBI–Stanford Leadership Academy for Development training on Public Policy for Climate Infrastructure in Tokyo, Japan from 23 to 26 June 2026. The program brought together government officials from Asia and the Pacific to examine the important links between integrity, financial risk, and climate resilience in infrastructure delivery. Discussions focused on procurement safeguards, accountability mechanisms, digital oversight, and the need to ensure that climate infrastructure is delivered in a manner that is both resilient and corruption resistant.

 

The Samoa Audit Office extends its sincere appreciationto the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI)and the Stanford Leadership Academy for Development for convening this timelyand highly relevant program. The training provided a valuable platform forsharing knowledge, strengthening regional collaboration, and deepeningunderstanding of the important role that integrity, accountability and soundgovernance play in delivering resilient and sustainable infrastructure for ourcommunities.
