The Finance Sector Plan (FSP) FY2022/2023 – 2026/2027 was launched by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, 8th December 2022 at TATTE Conference Centre Level 2.
The launch was followed by Annual Review for the Finance Sector’s performance of the previous years on Friday 9th December 2022. The Minister of Finance, Honorable Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo delivered the keynote address on the first day.
This is the second FSP being developed and the theme for the next 5 years as per Minister’s speech is to ensure a “resilient macroeconomic framework that is transparent and accountable to support a sustainable economy”. There are four Expected Sector Plan Outcome (ESPO) and Samoa Audit Office (SAO) fall under the last one – which is a Robust Financial Reporting and Independent Scrutiny.
It was a 2 day event with seminars from the five implementing agencies (including the Samoa Audit Office, Samoa Bureau of Statistics, Central Bank of Samoa, Ministry of Finance and Ministry for Custom & Revenue) on selected topics of interest completed on Friday 9th December 2022.
Audit Director, Vaofusi Terrence Su’a delivered a presentation on behalf of SAO on the topic Performance Based and IT Auditing. This significant event was attended by key stakeholders: representatives from Government Ministries and Organizations, Private Sector, Non-Government Organizations and Development Partners.
