"Choose to Challenge"

The women leadership of Samoa Audit Office (SAO) celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) by raising awareness against bias and taking action for equality in order to increase visibility of the contribution and achievements of women.

PASAI also acknowledge IWD on their social media, by sharing a series of inspirational quotes from women leaders in the Pacific region. 

Jaslyn Mariner-Leota, Former Assistant Controller and Auditor-General SAI Samoa, the third candidate, shared an inspirational quote, to celebrate women's achievement in Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and in the audit profession.

This event is celebrated worldwide on March 8th with the theme to choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. It seeks to draw attention to the idea that we all choose to challenge everything that has been holding us back and become better allies.

It is a day to celebrate the achievements of women in the social, economic, political and cultural aspects of the world today. On average, about 65% of SAO staff are women, signifying the continued strive of women in employment for businesses.
