Malili Chou Lee and Frances Iosefa of Samoa Audit Office (SAO) graduated on June 10th with Masters in Auditing at the Nanjing Audit University, China. Frances also received an Award for Excellent Honorary Credentials.

Malili and Frances were the successful candidates that travelled to China in 2017 in pursuit for higher education in Auditing. The Masters in Auditing Program attaches great importance to enhance and improve professional capacity building and integrity of work ethics. It is undertaken through a variety of teaching methods including lecturing, group discussions, case studies, on-site visits, scenario stimulation and so on.
SAO developed a partnership with China National Audit Office (CNAO) and Nanjing Audit University. This initiative began in 2016 as the professionalisation drive of the Controller and Auditor General and the professionalisation programme of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI). The People's Republic of China offer scholarships every year to SAO staff under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Ms Annie Frances Leitupo was the first graduand in June 2018. Two staff members remain in China to complete their masters program.
